One job, done well
Each tool does one job and does it well. Nothing runs in the background that you did not start, and nothing grows features you have to switch off.
Local first
No accounts and no telemetry. What runs on your machine stays on your machine; a network request happens only for what you asked to see, like a forecast.
Light on resources
A tool that sits on your desktop all day should cost next to nothing. Idle widgets use close to no CPU, and each project documents how to measure it.
Your setup, not ours
Nothing assumes a distribution, a terminal, a theme or a city. It is detected, and you can override it.
Documented
Every project has a wiki written for someone seeing it for the first time, and says what it reads and why.
Yours to change
MIT-licensed, plain files, no build step where none is needed. Read it, change it, send it back.
